MIAMI – A government agency is suing a Broward County resident citing an alleged failure to pay student loans.
United States of America filed a complaint on April 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Charles Boutros alleging failure to comply with the loan agreement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has suffered damages for non-payment of loan. The plaintiff holds Boutros responsible because the defendant allegedly neglected and refused to pay his debt owed to the government in the total amount of $80,503.90, excluding attorneys' fees and charges.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment of the debt owed in the amount of $80,503.90, all administrative costs, prejudgment and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees and for any other relief that the court may deem proper. It is represented by Steven M. Davis of Becker & Poliakoff PA in Coral Gables.
