Broward County resident accuses Pasquale & Sons Pizza Co. of discrimination

Wheelchair 06

MIAMI – A man alleges that a Coral Springs restaurant has barriers that restrict access to the disabled.

Julius Seiler filed a complaint on March 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Pasquale & Sons Pizza Co., alleging that the Italian restaurant violated the Americans with Disability Act accessibility guidelines.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was denied full, easy, safe and equal access to the defendant's facilities, goods, services and amenities. The plaintiff holds Pasquale & Sons Pizza Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide a safe and accessible restroom to persons with disabilities and failed to provide signage directing to the handicap-accessible restroom.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order requiring defendants to alter its facilities to make it accessible to individuals with disabilities, reasonable attorney's fees and costs, and any further relief as the court may deem necessary, just and proper. He is represented by Jessica Kerr of J & M Advocacy Group LLC in Hollywood.
