ORLANDO – A Daytona Beach man alleges that he was wrongfully denied long-term disability benefits.
Ryan Ego filed a complaint on March 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Cigna Group Insurance, citing violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff states that Cigna Group denied him long-term disability benefits, alleging that he did not meet the requirements for them.
The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for all damages; prejudgment interest; attorneys' fees and costs; and any further relief that the court may deem just and appropriate. He is represented by Edward S. Rue of Rue & Ziffra in Port Orange.
