MIAMI – A woman is suing her former employer seeking wages she alleges that was not paid.
Guisell Cecilia Heald filed a complaint on March 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Diagnostic Medical Imaging LLC and Solangie Machado, citing violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she did not receive proper overtime wages of one-and-one-half times her regular hourly rate for all hours worked over 40 per week during her employment. The plaintiff holds Diagnostic Medical Imaging LLC and Machado responsible because the defendants allegedly refused to pay her legally entitled wages.
The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for all damages, reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, and any other remedy that the court may deem just and appropriate. She is represented by Elliot Kozolchyk of Koz Law PA in Fort Lauderdale.
