JACKSONVILLE – A yacht builder is accusing a Duval County business of not delivering engines and transmissions it ordered.
Al Amjad LTD filed a complaint on March 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Division against Ocean Marine Engines LLC alleging that the yacht builder violated the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, fraud and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered financial damages, including but not limited to loss of deposits and loss of income, because of the defendant's alleged actions. The plaintiff holds Ocean Marine Engines LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to complete and deliver the engines and transmissions under the contract.
The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for damages in the amount of $130,162.50, attorneys' fees and costs, prejudgment interest and any further relief that the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Segiu Gherman of Gherman Legal PLLC in Miami.
