iYogi Inc. accused of breach of contract

Contract breach

TAMPA – A St. Petersburg administration service provider is suing a New York company over claims it is owed money for a fee.

Bankers Warranty Group Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 18 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District Court of Florida against iYogi Inc., citing alleged intentional misrepresentation, breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it entered into an agreement with the defendant on Sept. 21, 2015, and that the defendant agreed to pay $238,791.76 by Sept. 30, 2015, for the plaintiff's services. The suit states that the plaintiff terminated the contract in October, and that the defendant asked for additional time to pay the fee, but it has allegedly failed to pay all remaining amounts due.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for the amount of not less than $238,791.76, plus statutory interest, damages, attorneys’ fees and costs. The plaintiff is represented by Joseph P. Doyle of Bankers Warranty Group, Inc. in St. Petersburg.
