Former employee sues sign shop in overtime claim

FORT MYERS — A Lee County man is suing a Fort Myers company for allegedly failing to properly pay him overtime wages.

David Sorton is suing Eidolon Analytics Inc., a signage company doing business as Unisource Graphics.

The plaintiff sued on Feb. 16 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida Fort Myers Division, alleging that former employer Eidolon Analytics willfully violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiff alleges that, from July 2013 to December 2015, he did not receive proper overtime compensation of time and a half for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for liquidated damages, attorneys' fees and costs, post-judgment interest and any other relief that the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Jason L. Gunter and Conor P. Foley of Jason L. Gunter, P.A. in Fort Myers, Florida.
