Woman alleges slip-and-fall in suit against Walgreen Co.

VIERA — An Indialantic woman is suing a drugstore chain, claiming she was injured in a slip and fall.

Wendy Bryant is suing Walgreen Co., citing alleged failure to warn and negligence.

Bryant sued on Feb. 16 in the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court in and for Brevard County, claiming Walgreen Co. failed to warn its invitees of the danger of the transitory substance on the floor.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on Feb. 7, 2015, she slipped on a transitory substance in a Walgreens store in Melbourne, Florida, and fell to the ground, causing her to sustain severe injury. The plaintiff holds Walgreen Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain its premises in a reasonably safe condition.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for damages, medical expenses, lost of earnings and loss of capacity to earn and enjoyment of life. She is represented by Jason P. Herman of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando in Florida.
