Lauren Holy sued Liberian corporation Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. on Feb. 9 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division, citing alleged design defect, failure to warn and negligence resulting in an injury.

According to the complaint, while aboard the Majesty of the Seas cruise ship on Feb. 2, 2015, the plaintiff slipped and fell on wet, slippery tile and suffered severe injuries. The plaintiff holds Royal Caribbean responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain and keep the premises in safe condition.
