Whitney Boyd sues Farmers Casualty Insurance Company for negligence

Whitney Boyd and Justin Boyd, her husband, have filed a lawsuit against Farmers Casualty Insurance Company and Kenneth Crotty in the Circuit Court of Pinellas County, Florida. The case, identified as 24-001568-CI, was filed on April 8, 2024, and alleges negligence on the part of the defendants.

The Boyds are residents of Pasco County, Florida. The incident at the center of their complaint occurred on April 25, 2021. Whitney Boyd was driving a vehicle in Palm Harbor when Kenneth Crotty allegedly negligently operated his vehicle causing a collision with hers.

The plaintiffs claim that as a result of this accident, Whitney Boyd suffered serious and permanent injuries to her head, neck, body, back and legs which aggravated a pre-existing condition. These injuries have caused mental and physical pain and suffering and loss of future earning capacity due to their permanent nature. The damages claimed exceed $50,000.

The Boyds are seeking compensation for past and future medical expenses related to treating these injuries as well as for past and future loss of earnings. They also seek compensation for significant property damage sustained by Justin Boyd's motor vehicle.
