Yanisleidis Rodriguez sues Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for a car accident

In a case filed on April 5, 2024, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida (Case No. 502024CA003181XXXAMB Div: AE), Yanisleidis Rodriguez, individually and as the natural mother of AS, a minor, is suing the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. The lawsuit revolves around an alleged car accident involving a sheriff's deputy that resulted in significant damages exceeding $50,000. The plaintiff's lawyer filed the complaint on behalf of Rodriguez and her minor daughter against the defendant.

The incident occurred on June 21, 2023, when Rodriguez was driving her vehicle with her daughter AS as a passenger. They were rear-ended by Deputy Brian Adam Fidler of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office who failed to stop at a yellow light at the intersection of Lyons Road and Forest Hill Blvd.

As a result of this accident, Rodriguez sustained severe and permanent physical injuries which caused permanent impairment, disability, and disfigurement. She also incurred substantial medical costs which are continuing and will continue in the future; suffered great pain, suffering and mental and emotional anguish; lost earnings and income; may have aggravated preexisting conditions; lost the value of her motor vehicle; and sustained other compensable damages.

Rodriguez is seeking damages from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for negligence including carelessly operating his vehicle, failing to maintain a safe stopping distance, failing to stop for traffic in front of him among others. She demands compensation for all her losses due to this incident.
