In the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, Raymond Orasi has filed a lawsuit against Home Depot U.S.A., Inc. The case, numbered 24-001501-CI and filed on April 3, 2024, seeks damages in excess of $50,000 for an alleged incident that occurred at one of Home Depot's stores.

Represented by his counsel, Orasi alleges that he tripped over a flatbed cart left unsecured by Home Depot employees at the store located at 2070 Tyrone Blvd North, St. Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida on September 27, 2021. The plaintiff claims to have suffered trauma to his head and upper body as a result of this accident.

The complaint further asserts that Home Depot failed in its duty to maintain its premises in a reasonably safe condition and to warn customers of potential hazards. It also accuses the company's employees of negligence for allowing the dangerous condition to persist.

Orasi is seeking compensation for bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, aggravation of a preexisting condition, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, hospitalization expenses, medical and nursing care costs, loss of earnings and loss of ability to earn money. The losses are described as either permanent or continuing.
