Louis Tod Feinne has filed a lawsuit against a major supermarket chain, claiming negligence after suffering injuries from a slip and fall incident at one of their stores. The complaint was filed on April 9, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, naming Publix Super Markets, Inc. as the defendant.

According to the complaint, on July 22, 2024, Louis Tod Feinne was visiting a Publix store located at 16130 Jog Road in Delray Beach, Florida when he slipped on a liquid substance present on the floor. This unfortunate event resulted in serious and permanent injuries for Feinne. The plaintiff asserts that Publix had a non-delegable duty to ensure that their premises were free from hazardous conditions that could pose risks to customers. Feinne alleges that Publix failed in this duty by allowing a sticky substance to remain on the floor of their store.

The complaint further elaborates that such dangerous conditions were foreseeable to Publix due to their frequent occurrence at the premises. It is claimed that Publix either knew or should have known about these conditions through reasonable care and should have taken necessary precautions to prevent them. The lawsuit accuses Publix of various negligent acts including failing to properly maintain safe premises, not warning customers about potential hazards, and neglecting to implement effective safety policies and procedures.

Feinne is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for bodily injury, pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses, loss of earnings and earning capacity, among other losses. He argues that these damages are either permanent or will continue into the future due to the negligence exhibited by Publix.

Representing Louis Tod Feinne is Trevor M. Gordon from Gordon & Partners P.A., based in Palm Beach Gardens. The case is being handled under Case Number: 502025CA003358XXXAMB.
