In a dramatic turn of events, a couple from Broward County has filed a lawsuit against several parties following a harrowing incident involving a vintage car and valet service. On April 3, 2025, Ivan Parra and his wife Angela Parra lodged their complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida. The defendants named in the case include Louis Carlos Castro Jr., Justo Mario Naranjo, One Parking LLC, and AHAAA LLC, doing business as Harry’s Adrienne’s Pizza and Bar.
The complaint details an unfortunate accident that occurred on January 3, 2025. According to the plaintiffs, Ivan Parra was standing as a pedestrian near the valet podium at Harry’s Adrienne’s Pizza and Bar when he was struck by a 1965 Rolls Royce operated by Louis Carlos Castro Jr., who was working as a valet driver for One Parking LLC. The vehicle is owned by Justo Mario Naranjo. The lawsuit accuses Castro of negligence for allegedly pressing the accelerator instead of the brakes while driving the right-hand drive vehicle, resulting in serious injuries to Ivan Parra. "As a direct and proximate result of [Castro's] negligence," reads the complaint, "the Plaintiff suffered bodily injury that is permanent within a reasonable degree of medical probability."
The Parras are seeking damages exceeding $50,000 exclusive of court costs and interest. They allege that One Parking LLC had a nondelegable duty to ensure its employees operated vehicles safely but failed to do so. Additionally, they claim AHAAA LLC shared responsibility due to its joint venture with One Parking LLC in providing valet services at their restaurant. The lawsuit also seeks compensation for Angela Parra's loss of consortium due to her husband's injuries.
Represented by attorneys Peter J. Somera Jr. and Paul M. Silva from Somera & Silva LLP based in Boca Raton, Florida, the plaintiffs are demanding judgment for all damages permitted by law against each defendant individually and collectively under various counts including negligence and vicarious liability. The case has been assigned Case Number 502025CA003172XXXAMB.
