In a recent legal filing, a Florida resident has taken legal action against two automotive companies following an alleged slip-and-fall incident. Charles Peele filed the complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on March 18, 2025, naming Schumacher Auto Group, LLC and Schumacher Automotive Delray, LLC as defendants.

The case revolves around an incident that occurred on August 26, 2023. On this date, Peele was reportedly visiting the premises of Schumacher Lincoln of Delray, located at 2102 S Federal Highway in Delray Beach. The plaintiff claims he was lawfully on the property as an invitee when he slipped on a wet or slippery floor in the service area, resulting in significant bodily injuries. Peele alleges that both Schumacher Auto Group and Schumacher Automotive Delray failed to maintain safe conditions on their premises. According to the complaint, "Defendant had a duty to use reasonable care in the operation and/or maintenance of the subject premises under its ownership." Peele accuses both companies of negligence for not maintaining safe conditions and failing to warn visitors about potential hazards.

Peele's lawsuit seeks damages exceeding $50,000 from each defendant. He argues that due to their negligence, he suffered not only physical injuries but also mental anguish and loss of enjoyment of life. The complaint states that these losses are either permanent or ongoing and will continue to affect him in the future. The plaintiff is requesting judgment against both defendants for damages exceeding $50,000 each, plus taxable costs and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court.

Representing Charles Peele is attorney Steven J. Litvack from Boca Raton, Florida. The case has been assigned Case Number 502025CA002558XXXAMB.
