In a dramatic turn of events, a resident of Pinellas County has filed a lawsuit against the owners of a mobile home park, alleging negligence that led to severe injuries. Gayle Simmons lodged her complaint on March 10, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, accusing 621 Stremma Rd. Holdings LLC, doing business as Louis Palms Mobile Home Park, of failing to maintain safe premises.

The case revolves around an incident that occurred on October 22, 2023. According to the complaint, Simmons was walking through a grassy area near her mobile home when she tripped and fell due to a concealed hazard. The plaintiff asserts that the defendant was responsible for maintaining the property and failed in their duty to keep it safe for residents and visitors. "Defendant negligently maintained and/or failed to maintain the subject premises," states the complaint, which resulted in "severe permanent injuries" to Simmons.

Simmons claims that the area where she fell was not only poorly maintained but also violated city and state building codes. She accuses the mobile home park's management of having prior knowledge of these dangerous conditions yet taking no action to rectify them or warn residents like herself. The lawsuit alleges that this negligence created unnecessary hazards for anyone traversing the property.

The legal document details multiple failures on part of Louis Palms Mobile Home Park's management. It accuses them of allowing hazardous conditions to persist long enough that they should have been aware of them and taken corrective measures. The plaintiff further argues that she had no prior knowledge of these dangers and was not at fault for her fall.

Simmons is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 from Louis Palms Mobile Home Park. She demands compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, mental anguish, and other related costs stemming from her injuries. The complaint underscores that these losses are either permanent or ongoing.

Represented by Thomas J. Nessler from The Law Offices of Frederick W. Nessler & Associates in Largo, Florida, Simmons has requested a jury trial to resolve her claims against 621 Stremma Rd. Holdings LLC. The case has been assigned Case Number: 25-001158-CI under Judge Ken Burke's jurisdiction.
