Maria Machado has filed a lawsuit against a beach service company, claiming negligence after an unfortunate incident left her injured. The complaint was officially lodged by Maria Machado in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on January 16, 2025, targeting Oceanside Beach Service, Inc.

The case stems from an incident that occurred on November 27, 2023, when Machado visited Delray Beach, where Oceanside Beach Service operates its business. According to the complaint, Oceanside Beach Service is responsible for providing beach furniture such as umbrellas to the public. Machado alleges that the company failed to secure its equipment properly, resulting in one of their umbrellas striking her and causing significant physical injuries. The plaintiff argues that this mishap was due to Oceanside's negligence in maintaining a safe environment for its patrons.

Machado's complaint details several allegations against Oceanside Beach Service. She accuses the company of failing to install and secure their beach furniture adequately and not maintaining it properly. This alleged negligence created hazardous conditions for beachgoers like herself. Additionally, she claims that Oceanside failed to inspect or warn about these dangers despite knowing—or reasonably should have known—about them. The plaintiff further asserts that there were insufficient staff and inadequate training provided to employees regarding inspecting and maintaining the safety of their equipment.

As a result of these failures, Machado states she suffered bodily injury including permanent damage and various forms of pain and suffering both physically and mentally. Her legal filing lists numerous consequences such as disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses, lost earnings potential among others—all attributed directly to the defendant's alleged negligence.

In her pursuit of justice through this lawsuit against Oceanside Beach Service Inc., Maria Machado seeks damages exceeding $50,000 along with interest costs associated with her claim; she also demands a jury trial on all issues presented within this case.

Representing Maria Machado is attorney Maxwell E. Murray from Morgan & Morgan law firm located at Plantation Florida. The Case ID: 502025CA000410XXXAMB Div: AF.
