In a recent legal filing, an individual has taken legal action against a major automobile manufacturer over allegations of defective vehicle performance. The complaint was filed by Brianne Desellier in the Circuit Court for Palm Beach County, Florida, on November 1, 2024, against FCA US LLC. The lawsuit centers around a leased 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee that allegedly suffers from numerous defects.

Brianne Desellier claims that the vehicle she leased on September 9, 2023, from Arrigo CDJR of West Palm Beach, a dealership authorized by FCA US LLC, has been plagued with persistent issues despite multiple repair attempts. According to the complaint, the Grand Cherokee's defects include problems with the climate control system, radio, steering system, transmission, and other mechanical and electrical components. Desellier asserts that these defects have significantly impaired the vehicle's use and value.

The lawsuit alleges that FCA US LLC failed to honor its warranty obligations under both state and federal laws. Specifically, Desellier accuses the manufacturer of violating the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act by not adequately repairing or replacing the defective parts within a reasonable time frame. The plaintiff further contends that FCA US LLC engaged in misleading advertising practices designed to entice consumers into purchasing vehicles under false pretenses regarding their reliability and quality.

Desellier is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for the diminished value of her vehicle and related repair costs. Additionally, she demands compensation for incidental and consequential damages incurred due to the alleged warranty breaches. The plaintiff also requests attorney fees and court costs as part of her relief from the court.

Representing Brianne Desellier is Krohn & Moss Ltd., a law firm known for handling consumer protection cases. The case ID is: 502024CA010465XXXAMB Div: AH.
