Latreshia Webb has filed a lawsuit against a property management company, alleging negligence after suffering injuries from a balcony collapse. The complaint was filed on October 30, 2024, in the Circuit Court of the 6th Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, against MALF-FL, L.L.C.

According to the lawsuit, Latreshia Webb claims that on April 16, 2023, she was an invitee at a property managed by MALF-FL, L.L.C., located at 601 Rosery Rd. NE in Largo, Florida. While standing on the balcony of her daughter's unit, the flooring gave way beneath her feet. Webb argues that the defendant had a duty to maintain the property safely and failed to do so. She accuses MALF-FL of multiple breaches of duty including neglecting regular inspections and failing to warn about potential hazards like the compromised balcony floor.

Webb's legal filing outlines specific accusations against MALF-FL for not exercising reasonable care in maintaining the balcony and its flooring. She asserts that they did not conduct adequate inspections or train their staff properly in maintenance practices. Furthermore, Webb alleges that MALF-FL either knew about the dangerous condition or should have known due to its prolonged existence or regular occurrence.

The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages exceeding $50,000 for medical expenses incurred due to her injuries and ongoing physical impairments affecting her ability to work. Additionally, she demands any taxable costs associated with the case and requests a jury trial as per Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.

Representing Latreshia Webb are attorneys Loren Shalom and Jason Turchin from the Law Offices of Jason Turchin. The case is being presided over by Judge Ken Burke under Case Number 24-004761-ClI.
