In the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, a lawsuit has been filed by plaintiff Jarrod Morris against defendants Arnold Romano and Geico Casualty Company. The case, bearing ID 502024CA003754XXXAMB Div: AA, was filed on April 22, 2024.
The plaintiff alleges that on December 9, 2023, he suffered damages exceeding $50,000 due to a motor vehicle collision caused by defendant Romano's negligence. The incident involved Romano's rental vehicle colliding with Morris' Jeep SUV at the intersection of Barwick Road and HighPoint Boulevard in Delray Beach. At the time of the accident, Morris held an insurance policy with co-defendant Geico that included provisions for uninsured and/or underinsured motorist coverage.
Morris claims that as a result of Romano's negligent operation of his vehicle and subsequent collision, he suffered bodily injuries and other damages including disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, loss of wages and medical expenses. He is seeking judgment against Romano in excess of $50,000 plus costs. Additionally, Morris alleges that Romano was uninsured or underinsured at the time of the accident and is therefore also seeking judgment against Geico for their responsibility in covering these damages.
