Andrew Williams Jr. and Janett Carter have filed a lawsuit against W.S. Badcock, LLC, a Florida Limited Liability Company, in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida. The case number is 24-001353-CI and was filed on March 25, 2024.

The plaintiffs are represented by an unnamed counsel and are seeking damages exceeding $50,000 exclusive of interests, costs, and attorneys’ fees. The incident that led to this lawsuit occurred on February 11, 2023 when the defendant allegedly sold incorrect bed railings to the plaintiffs at their store located at 2000 34th St N,_St. Petersburg, FL 33713.

As a result of assembling their newly purchased bed with these incorrect railings, Williams Jr. and Carter claim to have suffered severe and lasting injuries. They argue that there were no warnings or signs indicating potential danger from using the incorrect railings.

The plaintiffs are demanding a jury trial and are seeking judgment for negligence against W.S. Badcock, LLC. They allege that the defendant breached its duty of care by selling them incorrect items that resulted in an unsafe condition leading to their injuries.
