Chancia Matos has filed a lawsuit against Cayley Danielle Gottschall and Brenda Lee Gottschall in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida. The case, identified as 24-001446-CI, was electronically filed on April 1, 2024. The complaint alleges negligence and vicarious liability resulting in damages exceeding $50,000.

Matos, represented by an unnamed attorney, claims that on July 7, 2023, she was involved in a car accident near the intersection of Blind Pass Road and 80th Way in Pinellas County. The defendant Cayley Danielle Gottschall is alleged to have negligently operated a vehicle owned by co-defendant Brenda Lee Gottschall resulting in a collision with Matos' vehicle.

The plaintiff alleges that due to this incident she suffered bodily injury leading to pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life and incurred expenses for hospitalization and medical care. Additionally, she claims loss of earnings and ability to earn money along with aggravation of a previously existing condition.

Matos is seeking judgment against both defendants individually for amounts exceeding $50,000 each and requests a trial by jury for all issues triable as of right by a jury.
