Montage Adams, individually and as a parent and natural guardian of minor Syrai Adams, along with Orie Hankle, have filed a lawsuit against Billy Morton Porter and Geico Indemnity Company in the Circuit Court of the 2nd Judicial Circuit in Leon County, Florida. The case number is 9024 CA 000389 and was filed on March 6, 2024. The plaintiffs are seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for an accident that occurred on December 24, 2022.

The plaintiffs allege that they were traveling near the intersection of Thomasville Road and Kerry Forest Parkway in Tallahassee when their vehicle was hit by one operated or maintained negligently by defendant Billy Morton Porter. As a result of this collision, Montage Adams claims to have suffered bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life and aggravation of a previously existing condition.

Syrai Adams also suffered similar injuries due to the accident. Additionally, Orie Hankle claims to have experienced bodily injury as well as damage to his automobile which led to loss of use during its repair or replacement period.

The plaintiffs are demanding judgment for damages against Billy Morton Porter. They also claim that Montage Adams' damages exceed the amount of liability insurance coverage available from Porter. Therefore, they are seeking compensation from Geico Indemnity Company under policy number 45/78-87-30-46 which provided uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.
