In the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, plaintiff Dylan Todfield has filed a lawsuit against the City of Delray Beach. The case number is 502024CA002398XXXAMB Div: AK, and it was filed on March 14, 2024. Todfield is represented by Jesse Davidson, P.A., based in Boynton Beach, Florida.

The complaint alleges that on July 25, 2023, Todfield sustained serious personal injuries due to negligence by the City of Delray Beach. The city allegedly failed to maintain its premises properly, resulting in a broken bench/bleacher that caused Todfield's fall.

Todfield claims that the city had a duty to maintain its premises in a safe condition for the public and either knew or should have known about the dangerous condition but failed to warn him. As a result of this negligence, Todfield suffered bodily injury and subsequent pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, medical expenses, loss of earnings and earning capacity.

The plaintiff is seeking judgment for damages exceeding $50,000 exclusive of attorney’s fees and costs. He also demands a trial by jury and any other relief deemed just and proper by the court.
