In the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit, Pinellas County, Florida, a lawsuit has been filed by Laura Merriex against Quentin Jones (Case Number: 24-0009 17-Cl) on February 26, 2024. The plaintiff is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for an alleged motor vehicle accident.
The plaintiff's counsel, Adam Bugg from Morgan & Morgan, P.A., asserts that on June 30, 2023, in Pinellas County Florida, the defendant negligently operated his vehicle resulting in a collision with Merriex's car. The incident allegedly led to severe physical and mental suffering for Merriex along with significant financial loss due to medical expenses and loss of earnings.
Merriex claims that Jones failed to operate his vehicle safely and prudently which directly resulted in her injuries. These injuries include permanent body damage, aggravation of a pre-existing condition or activation of a latent condition, disfigurement, mental anguish and loss of capacity for enjoyment of life.
Merriex is seeking judgment against Jones in excess of $50,000 and demands a trial by jury. She believes that the actual value of her claim will be determined by a fair and just jury in accordance with Article 1, Section 21, Fla. Const.
