In the Circuit Court of the Second Judicial Circuit, Leon County, Florida, Carla Hill-Reshard has filed a lawsuit against the Florida Department of Revenue (Case No.: 24-CA-2024 CA 000376) on March 4, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant falsely added a letter of separation to her file after she resigned from her employment, causing her to lose other job opportunities and resulting in economic loss, damage to reputation, and mental anguish.

Carla Hill-Reshard, a resident of Monticello, Jefferson County, FL at all times pertinent to this case was employed by the defendant. The defendant is accused of adding false information to Hill-Reshard's personnel file which led to her losing out on other employment opportunities. The claim involves an amount in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000).

Hill-Reshard is seeking monetary damages, declaratory judgment, legal and equitable relief against the defendant. She also seeks permanent injunction against future violations by the defendant and attorney's fees and costs.
