A man who used to work for The Salvation Army says he wasn't paid for overtime hours.

Michael Williams filed his lawsuit in federal court against The Salvation Army alleging violations of federal wage and hour laws under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, worked remotely for The Salvation Army from 2015 until April 2023 as an eBay Coordinator from his home in Tampa. He claims he was not compensated for overtime hours worked during his employment.

Williams alleges he was required to work more than 40 hours per week without receiving any additional payment or premium for the overtime hours. He claims The Salvation Army failed to pay him a premium for all hours worked in excess of forty in a workweek as required by law.

He seeks compensation for all overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per workweek that he claims were not paid by The Salvation Army.
