A California woman says a massage she had on a Carnival cruise vacation resulted in injuries so severe she required surgery.
Monica Scullion filed her lawsuit in federal court against Carnival Corporation, One Spa World LLC and One Spa World (Bahamas) Ltd.
According to the complaint, Scullion was a passenger aboard the Carnival Radiance on January 24, 2023, when she went to the spa to receive her massage.
She says she notified the masseuse that a maneuver being performed on her back was causing her leg pain, but she says the masseuse continued. She says this led to numbness in her leg, and the masseuse then started massaging her leg.
Scullion says the injuries ultimately required her to have surgery.
She seeks compensatory damages.
