A man's family has sued Carnival Cruise Lines claiming the company is responsible for his death.

Lavender Kaikainahaole, as administrator of the estate of Cory Kaikainahaole, filed the lawsuit in federal court against Carnival Corporation.

The lawsuit alleges that Carnival failed to provide competent medical care and facilities on their cruise ship, the Carnival Radiance.

The complaint states that the cruise line markets its cruises as offering high-quality services for mature and discerning travelers. It claims that part of this service includes competent medical care and facilities. However, it alleges that the company failed to meet these standards, leading to Mr. Kaikainahaole's death.
