The Construction Super Conference, now in its 37th year, is recognized as the preeminent construction conference developed for mid to senior-level professionals who work in any of the legal and commercial construction markets. Impactful plenary sessions and compelling panel discussions from top legal, consulting, and leaders of construction companies bring to the forefront challenging issues and new insights into the legal, business, and economic challenges and opportunities in today’s construction industry.

The opening keynote, sponsored by Cozen O’Connor, will feature Willis Sparks, Director of Global Macro at Eurasia Group. Willis Sparks is a thought leader on risks, opportunities, and trends created by current geopolitical conflicts and political developments in major emerging market countries, as well as on U.S. politics and foreign policy.

Stephen Seeger will speak on the panel ”Managing Risks on Energy Projects – Construction and Insurance Attorneys.” Steve will discuss strategies to manage risks and maximize recovery on energy projects. The panelists will also explore the value of coordinating construction and insurance recovery on the development of these projects.

Lawrence Prosen will speak on the panel “There’s Never Time to Plan up Front, but There’s Always Time to Litigate Later – Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace?” Larry will discuss the recent trends relating to project planning and integrating major/primary subcontractors into the project plan.

Stephen Seeger and Wendy Venoit will speak on the panel “Do High Stakes Projects Need to = High States Litigation? How to Proactively Control Risk and Cost on the High Stakes Projects and Aggressively Manage/Avoid Disputes.” Steve and Wendy will share their experiences managing and allocating the risk on these projects and recommend approaches for avoiding litigation through upfront contract negotiation, effective and aggressive claims management, and dispute avoidance techniques.

Ralf Rodriguez and Kenneth Cushing will speak on the panel “Navigating Top Construction and Insurance Challenges for Major Commercial Building Projects in 2024 and Beyond.” Ralf and Kenny will discuss strategies to navigate top legal pitfalls and maximize recoveries, best practices for negotiating contract provisions on the front end to address and allocate major, evolving risks, and securing coverage through builder's risk and controlled insurance programs.
