Dinsmore & Shohl continues its aggressive growth in the state of Florida, announcing the opening of an office in downtown Miami’s most iconic building, Southeast Financial Center. The six partners, five associates and a team of business professionals bring impeccable pedigrees and outstanding credentials, and are eager to serve South Florida’s thriving business community.

“I was blown away by Dinsmore’s sophistication, speed and sense of responsibility from the onset of our discussions,” said Seth Alhadeff who will serve as Dinsmore Miami’s managing partner. “The people here are unbelievably thoughtful, fiscally strategic and have the high-level legal skills we were looking for to be competitive in this sophisticated market.”

The Firm’s move into Miami comes just three months after welcoming a 19-attorney team in Orlando through a merger with Mateer & Harbert. Dinsmore’s Tampa office opened with six attorneys in February 2020 and has grown to 14.

“The state of Florida is rapidly attracting new companies and entrepreneurs that want to put down roots where business is thriving,” said Joshua Lorentz, Dinsmore’s managing partner. “Miami’s economy is constantly becoming more diversified and it makes sense for Dinsmore to add this team of extremely talented, likable attorneys in a region with so much momentum.”

With a combined 30 years of collaborative experience, the Miami team has meticulously built a solid reputation through their handling of catastrophic litigation, commercial litigation and complex business litigation, in addition to products litigation, coverage work and intricate real estate and construction matters. “Dinsmore’s national platform will allow us to reach more businesses from coast-to-coast and provide high-level, legal counsel with Midwest-driven rates that we think will be very attractive to current and potential clients,” Seth said.

“I think the opportunities are endless in Florida,” Josh said “for our clients, as well as attorneys and business professionals who see Dinsmore as a destination for their continued career growth. They like what they hear and they want to be a part of what this Firm has to offer.”
