Bradley is pleased to announce that Ben Dachepalli has been re-slated as general counsel for the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council (EDC).
Mr. Dachepalli will serve a second consecutive term as general counsel for the EDC, providing legal counsel and strategic support to the organization’s leadership in advancing a diversified local economy by attracting investment, as well as quality employers and a talented workforce.
A partner in Bradley’s Tampa office, Mr. Dachepalli regularly negotiates and drafts construction-related agreements and litigates complex construction claims regarding contract disputes, construction defects, design errors, surety bonds and construction liens. He also advises clients in licensing matters and represents contractors and subcontractors in disputes. Mr. Dachepalli is board certified by the Florida Bar in Construction Law and has served as national coordinating counsel for a large, publicly traded REIT for projects across the United States.
Mr. Dachepalli is a former board member of the Construction Industry Licensing Board for the State of Florida and is a member of the Florida Council for Public Private Partnerships and has served on the Tampa Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. He also serves on the board of directors for the Indo-U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The Tampa Bay EDC is the lead designated economic development agency for Hillsborough County and the cities of Tampa, Plant City and Temple Terrace. Established in 2009 as a partnership between the public sector and private corporate investors, the EDC works to develop and sustain a thriving local economy through the attraction, retention and expansion of high-wage jobs and capital investment within targeted industry sectors, including corporate headquarters, financial and professional services, information technology, life sciences, defense and security, distribution and logistics, and manufacturing.
