Holland & Knight Partner Andrew Loewenstein was recently chosen by the Federal Bar Association (FBA) to become a Fellow of the Foundation, a group that currently consists of fewer than 300 individuals and includes eight Supreme Court Justices. He was inducted on September 23 at the Historic Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tenn. during the association’s annual meeting.

Established in 2002, the Fellows program is intended to recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to and leadership within both the FBA and the legal community. In addition to Mr. Loewenstein, fourteen Fellows were inducted this year, including United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida Beth Bloom and United States Magistrate Judge Michelle M. Pettit of the U.S. District Court in Southern California.

Mr. Loewenstein is a partner in Holland & Knight’s West Palm Beach office who concentrates his practice in complex healthcare, business and labor and employment matters. Mr. Loewenstein also represents insureds and underwriters in connection with transactional risk products, including the issuances of representations and warranties (R&W) insurance policies. Mr. Loewenstein employs innovative strategies to prosecute multistate fraud schemes, represent management's interests in labor and employment disputes and navigate high-stakes business litigation.

Mr. Loewenstein has been an active leader in the FBA’s Palm Beach chapter for many years and currently serves as president-elect. On the national level, Mr. Loewenstein serves as the deputy chair of the FBA’s Civics, Service and Outreach Committee. He also helps coordinate and acts as an attorney-coach for the Federal Bar’s Civil Discourse and Difficult Decisions program, which teaches real-life civics lessons to high school students.
