Nine Qualify for Yld Board Races; 18 Elected Without Opposition

Nine candidates are running in four contested races for the Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors in the Bar’s March 2023 election while 18 young lawyers have been elected without opposition.

Filing for the races closed on December 15. There are contests in the Ninth, 11th, 13th, and 15th circuits.

The contested races include:

  • In the Ninth Circuit, Seat 3, Lucie A. Robinson faces Olivia A. Share.
  • In the 11th Circuit, Seat 1, Nicole Comparato, Tiffany-Ashley Disney, and Jeremy A. McLymont have filed in a three-way race.
  • In the 13th Circuit, Seat 2, Brittany Dix is running against Amanda Keller.
  • In the 15th Circuit, Seat 3, Brittany E. Cobb faces Fredelle Menard.
Elected without opposition are:

  • Haley VanFletern, First Circuit, Seat 1.
  • Rachel Butler, Third Circuit, Seat 1.
  • Carleen A. Leffler-Nicastro, Seventh Circuit, Seat 1.
  • Arti A. Hirani, Ninth Circuit, Seat 1.
  • Ashley R. Wright, Ninth Circuit, Seat 2.
  • Paige Comparato, 11th Circuit, Seat 2.
  • Alexa Isabelle Tirse, 11th Circuit, Seat 3.
  • Altanese Phenelus, 11th Circuit, Seat 4.
  • Veronique Malebranche, 11th Circuit, Seat 5.
  • Michael Levine, 11th Circuit, Seat 6.
  • Jessica Kramer, 13th Circuit, Seat 1.
  • Ciara C. Willis, 13th Circuit, Seat 3.
  • Imani Williams, 15th Circuit, Seat 1.
  • Michael W. Kranz, 15th Circuit, Seat 2.
  • Selina Patel, 17th Circuit, Seat 1.
  • Yineth Sanchez Aslan, 17th Circuit, Seat 2.
  • Karina Rodrigues, 17th Circuit, Seat 3.
  • Melissa Ellen Dean, 19th Circuit, Seat 1.
For the contested races, election ballots will be emailed on or before March 1.
