ORLANDO -- A woman is suing the City of Apopka for false arrest and battery by police officers.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 27, 2018, Sims was peacefully sitting in her residence when without legal authority or permission, the defendants forcibly entered Plaintiff's residence, threw her on the floor, kicked her and then falsely arrested her on bogus criminal charges that were not filed on by the State's Attorney.

Sims was caused to suffer physical pain and suffering after allegedly being kicked and thrown on the floor by the police, the suit says.

Sims seeks a judgment for damages, attorney's fees and cost of suit. Sims is represented by Frank C. Kruppenbacker.
