Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, a leading civil defense litigation law firm with four offices in Florida, announced today that Alan C. (A.C.) Nash, shareholder in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Broward County Chapter of RIMS, the Risk and Insurance Management Society.

The RIMS Broward County Chapter strives to promote risk management professionals and elevate the risk management industry through education, community involvement, legislative participation, and networking opportunities. RIMS, a global not-for-profit, is the preeminent organization dedicated to advancing the practice of risk management throughout the world.

Mr. Nash, Supervisor of Marshall Dennehey’s Fort Lauderdale Casualty Department, has been with the firm for more than a decade. He focuses his practice on the defense of claims made and suits brought against insureds and businesses in product, automobile, commercial, liquor liability, construction, and premises liability matters. 

A South Florida native, Mr. Nash is an active member of The Florida Bar.  He was a member of the inaugural class of The Florida Bar Leadership Academy and was appointed to serve a three-year term on The Florida Bar Student Education and Admissions to The Bar Committee. Additionally, he was named to The Florida Bar’s Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee “H” and later served as its chair. 

Mr. Nash has additionally served as the vice-president for the Fort Lauderdale Community Development Corporation and was on the board of directors for the T.J. Reddick Bar Association. He is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for an attorney’s ethical and professional competence, and he has been selected for inclusion on the Florida Super Lawyers list since 2019. He has also been recognized as a “Top Up & Comer” in the South Florida Legal Guide since 2018.
