Armstrong Teasdale LLP issued the following announcement on Jan. 4.

Armstrong Teasdale proudly announces the establishment of a Miami, Florida, office and the addition of 12 attorneys and staff professionals from Waldman Barnett. The entire team at Waldman Barnett will join Armstrong Teasdale. The addition, effective Jan. 1, 2022, bolsters Armstrong Teasdale’s firmwide roster to over 370 lawyers and 300 staff professionals internationally.

“Florida’s economy is the fourth largest in the U.S., and we’ve found tremendous cultural synergies with the team from Waldman Barnett,” said Armstrong Teasdale Managing Partner Patrick Rasche. “Their experience further adds to our deep litigation bench and having a physical presence in the Southeast is certainly advantageous to our clients. This continued expansion of our firm’s footprint aligns with the aggressive growth goals we have set to remain competitive in today’s legal market.”

In the past three years, Armstrong Teasdale has successfully integrated nine new offices in the U.S. and U.K., Miami included. In 2021, the firm established new locations in London, England, and Wilmington, Delaware.

The experienced team joining from Waldman Barnett provides an impressive depth of skill, particularly in the litigation practice. The seven attorneys have decades of combined experience handling high-profile, high-stakes litigation matters at trial and before appellate courts, and have been recognized by Chambers USA and among U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Law Firms.” Their experience also extends to real estate and development, cooperative and condominium law, trusts and estates, corporate governance, copyright and trademark disputes, fraud and unlawful trade, insurance claims, construction litigation, entrepreneurial initiatives, employment litigation, and contract and other commercial disputes.

Formed in 2009 by Co-Managing Partners Glen Waldman and Eleanor Barnett, Waldman Barnett has built a strong reputation as a go-to litigation boutique for complex cases. The distinguished team joining them includes Partners Jeffrey Lam and Michael Sayre, Of Counsel Marlon Weiss, Senior Associate Benjamin Keime, Associate Julie Levine, Paralegal Mae Van Gils, Litigation Specialist Teresa Macias, Legal Assistant Nancy Torres-Curiel, Office Manager Tania Waldman and Administrative Assistant Lian Sirven.

“Providing our clients with the highest level of service has always been incredibly important to us,” said Waldman. We are excited about the opportunity to advance our presence and provide an even greater depth of talent and offerings to those who have continued to place trust in our team.”

“It was very apparent early in our discussions that this was a great fit for our people,” added Barnett. “We intend to add more talented lawyers and professionals across practice areas in Miami and throughout South Florida, and look forward to a bright future of growth and new opportunities with Armstrong Teasdale.”

Armstrong Teasdale will assume Waldman Barnett’s existing office space at 3250 Mary Street, Suite 102, Coconut Grove, FL 33133, while exploring opportunities for new, larger space in the immediate future.

Armstrong Teasdale was introduced to Waldman Barnett by attorney recruiters Doug Horn and Alyssa Lerner of Palmer Kent Associates.
