Roller skating rink faces lawsuit by allegedly steamrolled child

ORLANDO -- A mother is suing a roller-skating rink over the injury of her child. 

Crystal Garcia, as parent and natural guardian of J.S. (a minor), filed a lawsuit on Nov. 8 in Orange County Circuit Court against Astro Skating Center of Orlando, LLC. for negligence. 

According to the complaint, on March 26, 2021, J.S. was entering the skating rink to begin skating when the minor was run over by an adult roller skating at high speed.

J.S. was caused to suffer personal injury including pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, permanent and significant scarring, mental anguish, loss of the capacity for the enjoyment of life, hospitalization expense and medical and nursing care and treatment.
