TALLAHASSEE -- A student is suing a university for fees paid for services allegedly never received during the pandemic.

Harrison Broer filed a class action complaint in Leon County Circuit Court against Florida State University for breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, Broer is suing for himself and for others who paid fees for tuition and other services in the Spring of 2020 academic semester, or future semesters, and had their educational experience moved to online learning, all while losing the benefits of on-campus services that they already paid for without refund.

Broer seeks monetary damages, injunctive relief, attorneys fees and cost of suit. Broer also seeks for the university to reimburse all fees paid in which students were unable to receive those services. Broer is represented by Joshua H. Eggnatz.
