GREENBERG TRAURIG: Jordanna Ishmael Appointed Vice-Chair of Miami Dade Bar Diversity & Inclusion Committee

Jordanna Ishmael, an associate in the Miami office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been appointed vice-chair of the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Committee of the Miami Dade Bar for the 2021-2022 session.

Formerly known as the Dade County Bar Association, the Miami Dade Bar (MDB) is the largest voluntary bar association in Florida. Its mission is to “be the voice of Miami-Dade County’s legal profession, serving the public and the bar by promoting equal justice, professionalism and civility, and excellence and respect for the law,” according to its website. The MDB has 33 sections, committees, and divisions, and provides over 100 hours of continuing legal education (CLE) each year.

“I am truly honored to be appointed vice-chair of the D&I Committee,” said Ishmael. “Our focus will be on creating and providing meaningful programming and spaces for important conversation that moves the needle forward on issues of great concern to all in the legal community and beyond.”

Ishmael is a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Litigation Practice. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, she worked as a land use associate at a large law firm, representing real estate developers, investors, and property owners. Ishmael has also worked on litigation and employment matters and has experience handling matters in the international arbitration space as well as class action lawsuits pertaining to Florida’s Wiretapping Statute.
