Jeffrey Gilbert Brings Nearly 40 Years of Experience Handling Sophisticated Commercial Litigation to Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr’s Miami Office
In joining Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr’s Miami office, Jeffrey Gilbert brings nearly four decades of experience representing Fortune 500 companies and international businesses in an array of business and financial disputes. He joins the firm as a partner in the Commercial Litigation and Real Estate Practices.
Mr. Gilbert handles cases ranging from shareholder and partnership disputes to bet-the-company lawsuits and material contract breaches. He also represents developers, real estate lenders, financial institutions, REITs, special servicers and receivers in property, real estate, financial and construction disputes.

On behalf of nationwide lenders and servicers, Mr. Gilbert has foreclosed mortgage and U.C.C. personalty liens on highly visible properties located throughout Florida, including resort hotels, golf course developments, and prominent office buildings. He also litigates significant commercial tenancy cases on behalf of owners and landlords.
Some of Mr. Gilbert’s notable litigation matters prior to his move to the firm include representing:
- The lender and special servicer in the mortgage foreclosure of the Marriott Sawgrass, located adjacent to the PGA TPC Sawgrass golf course, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
- The lender in the mortgage foreclosure of the 444 Brickell office complex, located on Brickell Avenue at the Miami River.
- A prominent vitamin retailer in the settlement and dismissal of a potential class action filed by a customer claiming sales tax overcharges for purchases made in conjunction with discount coupons and shop memberships.
Mr. Gilbert earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.A. from Northwestern University.
