GREENBERG TRAURIG LLP: Greenberg Traurig Honors Black History Month

Greenberg Traurig LLP issued the following announcement on Mar. 3.

Extending its observance of Black History Month, global law firm Greenberg Traurig will present a Courageous Conversation on “How Inclusion Powers the Economy.” Raphael Bostic, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, on March 3. Bostic will share how organizations and their leaders can participate in the healing and betterment of communities and businesses through the promotion of equality and opportunity.

“I am proud that as a firm and as individuals committed to a more diverse and just world, we were able to mark Black History Month through dynamic firm programming and external events designed to drive full inclusion and that we can extend that observance with a discussion with Raphael Bostic,” said Nikki Lewis Simon, Shareholder and Greenberg Traurig’s Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer. “We celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion, not just during Black History Month, but every day. Diversity enables us to provide our clients with a broad array of perspectives, culture, and creativity.”

Simon and firm Co-President Ernest Greer will engage with Bostic during the virtual session. Greenberg Traurig’s Courageous Conversations series highlights members of the firm and others who use their voices to share their experiences and parts of their journeys.

Greenberg Traurig’s Social Justice Action Academy (SJAA) hosts many of the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion programming. SJAA is a key element of Greenberg Traurig’s  Social, Racial, and Economic Justice Action Plan, that aims to educate on matters of race, justice, and equity; facilitate and encourage conversations about these topics; and drive forward meaningful change consistent with the goals of the action plan.
