Nason Yeager shareholder John Fumero spoke on water quality regulation and permitting in Florida at Southeast Florida Utility Council’s (SEFLUC) February monthly meeting.
The SEFLUC provides a communications and networking for member utilities to provide superior-quality water supply and wastewater management services to its customers in a cost-effective manner.
Membership is comprised of water supply and wastewater utilities, public and private, located in Broward County, Miami-Dade County, Palm Beach County, Monroe County and Martin County. Existing members include Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department, City of Sunrise Utility Department, Martin County Utilities, City of Pompano Beach Utilities Department, Seacoast Utilities, City of Boca Raton Utilities, Palm Beach County Utilities.
John Fumero has over 30 years of experience in a wide-ranging practice in the areas of environmental, land use, administrative, and governmental law. Fumero, formerly General Counsel of the South Florida Water Management District, represents and provides strategic counsel to landowners, developers, industry, agriculture, utilities and local governments throughout Florida. He represents private and public sector clients before local, state and federal agencies and courts. He has extensive experience in all aspects of state and federal regulation, land development, litigation and legislation.
