Senior Counsel Jeanne Stiefel was recently appointed to serve on the University of Miami School of Law Dean's Advisory Committee.
Stiefel, who earned her J.D. from the University of Miami in 1981, will serve as a key advisor to students, faculty, and the dean in her role as a committee member. She will share her wealth of experience and knowledge as a mentor and champion for incoming lawyers.
In her practice, Stiefel has been actively and continuously involved in New Jersey public finance transactions since 1986. She serves as bond counsel, underwriter counsel and trustee counsel for the issuance of tax-exempt and taxable municipal debt for a variety of public projects and programs for state, bi-state and local issuers, including counties, municipalities, county improvement authorities, and county and municipal utility authorities. In addition, Ms. Stiefel's practice also focuses on complex structured financing transactions for not-for-profit health care organizations. Her health care transactional experience is broad ranged having served as bond counsel, 501(c)(3) borrower counsel, trustee counsel and underwriter/bank purchaser counsel in a number of senior housing, assisted living, nursing home, and continuing care retirement community financings.
