Wilson Elser issued the following announcement on Aug. 8.
Wilson Elser placed 31st among The National Law Journal (NLJ) 500 firms on the Women’s Scorecard produced as part of the annual NLJ 500 firm head count report. Data on gender diversity at firms is collected at the same time firms report financial numbers and head counts.
lOnly the largest 350 firms are eligible for the Women’s Scorecard. The data in this survey is self-reported and previously unpublished. Not all firms in the NLJ 500 provide gender statistics. Some firms cannot count gender in average FTE terms, which explains why they may be missing from this scorecard. The Women in Law Score is determined by adding the percentage of female attorneys and percentage of female partners. In the case of a tie, the higher rank is awarded to the firm with more proportionate female equity partners.
