ORLANDO — An Orange County restaurant owner is suing an advertising company, alleging breach of an agreement and conversion.

Trade Secrets LLC, doing business as Cafe Murano, filed a complaint Feb. 11 in Orange County Circuit Court against Orlando Sign Company LLC, alleging failure to fabricate and install a custom sign.

According to the complaint, in fall 2018 Café Murano contracted with Orlando Sign for a custom sign made for its restaurant, and made a deposit of $7,231.11. As a result of the defendant's illegal conduct, the suit says, Café Murano has been damaged financially.

The plaintiff alleges Orlando Sign, despite final demand for performance or cancellation of the agreement, has failed to issue a refund or to deliver and install the custom sign at the restaurant and responded that the company was in the process of dissolution.

Café Murano seeks trial by jury, damages between $5,000 and $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney’ fees, plus all other just and proper relief. It is represented by attorney Gary S. Salzman of Garganese, Weiss, D'Agresta & Salzman PA in Orlando.
