ORLANDO — An Orange County woman is suing Aldi. alleging negligence and premises liability led to injuries for the plaintiff.
Karen Heissenberg filed a complaint Feb. 11 in Orange County Circuit Court against Aldi Inc. and Aldi Florida LLC, alleging failure to keep its premises free of any unreasonably dangerous condition.
According to the complaint, on June 8, 2015, Heissenberg was at Aldi Food Market in Orlando to purchase items when she slipped on a foreign substance near the watermelons and fell. She says she sustained serious injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, medical and nursing care and treatment and loss of the ability to earn money.
The plaintiff alleges Aldi and Aldi Florida failed to exercise reasonable care in the maintenance of the premises and failed to warn patrons of the existence of the unreasonably dangerous condition.
Heissenberg seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Paul C. Perkins, Jr. of Paul & Perkins, PA in Maitland.
