JACKSON LEWIS: Jackson Lewis Strengthens Litigation Team in Orlando with Addition of Peter M. Wendzel

Jackson Lewis issued the following announcement on Feb. 13.

Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Peter M. Wendzel has joined the firm’s Orlando office as a Principal. Mr. Wendzel joins the firm from Wyndham Destinations, where he served as in-house counsel for almost 15 years.

The depth of his class actions background, in addition to his unique perspective on the workplace issues keeping in-house counsel up at night, will be of great service to our clients across Florida and nationwide.”

Mr. Wendzel focuses his practice on representing employers in workplace law class action litigation and preventive advice and counseling. He has extensive trial experience and has brought a dozen suits to verdict over his career as in-house and outside counsel. His litigation experience includes both individual and collective actions in state and federal court, jury and bench trials, in multiple states. In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Wendzel has personally handled, managed or overseen well more than a thousand claims, administrative charges, and lawsuits. He has counseled employers on all manner of employee relations issues, focusing on compliance and litigation avoidance. Mr. Wendzel also advises employers on disciplinary actions, including terminations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and minimization of risk.

Mr. Wendzel has presented hundreds of training sessions across the country to supervisors and HR, including on such topics as sexual and racial harassment prevention, conducting investigations, wage/hour, and disciplinary practices.

Mr. Wendzel earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A. from The George Washington University.
