CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Debra Siede filed a complaint Feb. 1 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Raymond Loperena, alleging failure to operate a motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 23, 2017, Siede was involved in an automobile collision with Loperena's car at the intersection of Ninth Avenue North and 34th Street North in St. Petersburg. Siede says she sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, the expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, plus loss of earnings.

The plaintiff alleges Loperena negligently operated or maintained his motor vehicle so that it collided with Siede's car.

Siede seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Benjamin G. DeBerg of DeBerg & DeBerg PA in St. Petersburg.
