Couple alleges negligence of driver, employer caused turnpike crash

ORLANDO — A Florida couple is suing a driver and employer, alleging negligence led to a Florida Turnpike crash that injured the plaintiffs.

Cynthia Sosa and Alfonso Sosa filed a complaint Feb. 1 in Orange County Circuit Court against Jose Del Carmen Infante and Global Carriers Inc., alleging Global negligently allowed Infante, a careless driver, to operate its motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, on March 15, 2018, Cynthia and Alfonso Sosa were driving on the Florida Turnpike in Orange County. They say they were injured in a motor vehicle collision due to the carelessness of Infante who negligently operated or maintained the Global Carriers motor vehicle so that it collided with the plaintiffs' vehicle.

The lawsuit states the Sosas sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement mental anguish, loss of consortium and medical expenses. 

The Sosas seek trial by jury and damages exceeding $15,000. They are represented by attorney Raquel Guerin Richardson of The Cameron Law Group in Tamarac.
